As numer 1 in our commuting area, we want to show responsibility for people, the region and the environment – today and for future generations. Therefore the ZIMBAPARK has been focusing consistently on energy efficiency, proactive climate protection, alternative energy sources and sustainable mobility for many years. Our oparator SES Spar European Shopping Centers declared clear climate objectives, which will be implemented by no later than 2050.

TÜV AUSTRIA certified energy management system

Already in 2019 SES Spar European Shopping Centers has initiated an energy managment system by EN ISO 50001:2018 for all austrian shopping-center which now has been recertified sucessfully by TÜV AUSTRIA. At the same time SES was able to expand the energy management system to all SES-Shopping-Malls in slowenia and italy and in addition received a TÜV AUSTRIA certification for malls in three countries.

News

New e-bike charging station

We offer all customers, that arrive at the ZIMBAPARK by bike, 9 e-bike charging stations at the main entrance next to the parking station for bikes. The e-bike can be charged with an own charging cable (220 Volt electric socket) during the opening times. In addition new and spacious parking spaces for bikes have been made.

Energy management – with system

Since 2019 the ZIMBAPARK has been working with an ISO-certified energy management system, which was recertified by TÜV in 2022. This means that we are analysing our energy consumption regulary and are implementing measures to save energy and to increase the energy efficiency. In that way the energy consumption has been reduced up to 40 % in our center in the last years.

Free-cooling & optimised cooling

Water resorvior to cool

The coverage of the cooling load happens through the cold water resorvior on our rooftop. If required the night air is being used for cooling the shopping mall beyond opening hours (Free-cooling). Any and all ventilating systems contain technical stablishments for the heat recovery.

LED-lighting

Sparing lighting

Conversion saves electricity and money. To save energy means to spare climate. Since many years the ZIMBAPARK has been implementing specific measures like the successive and complete conversion of the storefront lighting and the indoor lighting to LED-technology. At the ZIMBAPARK the whole lighting will be adapted to LED-lights at the end of 2023.

Adequate venting optimization

Cheap Air

Not only talking but doing! A practical example for a climate-friendy operation is the ventilation control which is aligned on the numer of customers. This ventilation control was developed by SES and alignes the air quality perfectly on the requirements of all shopping center and saves about 2,9 million killowatt hour electricity yearly.

Mobility and accessibility

With a very good connection to the public transportation, bike parking slots and a direct connection to the bike path and a modern infrastructure for electro mobility we provide our guests a smooth shooping arrival and therewith a climate-freindly alternative.

6 e-car charging stations – 100 % green electricity

At the ZIMBAPARK you can find 6 e-car charging stations. Those are located in the underground carpark. The charging stations are equipped with the common plug types (Typ: Alven Eve, 11 KW).

Public transportation

Bus, bike or by foot

By bus, bike or foot: the ZIMBAPARK is without car easy to reach. The train station is 10 minutes by foot away. In addition you find roofed bike parking spots and 9 e-bike charging stations at the main entrance in front of Hervis.

Service

The bicycle parking at ZIMBAPARK is located outside. There are numerous parking spaces for bicycles in front of all entrances.

The free electric charging station at ZIMBAPARK is located in the underground car park. There are 2 charging stations with 22kW output for electric cars.

Help where help is nessasary. We take social responsibility by maintaining long-term cooperations with clubs from the region and creating unforgettable events or charity events.

Charity events

The ZIMBAPARK has been partner of the organisation “Stunde des Herzens” since 20 years, which supports kids, families and older people in the region which are not doing well with lots of engagement. Through the charity honey sell and an additional voucher donation we were able to donate 8.000 Euro in Dezember 2022 to “Stunde des Herzens”.

The protection of the environment is important to us. Because of that we use sustainable energies. Every shooping center is an unicum, therefor we can react individually on the respective situations. The ZIMBAPARK buys 100 % eco-power.
